Micro-credentials are hot topics in higher education in 2021. As the work landscape fluctuates due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there is an increasing need to provide short-timeframe opportunities for reskilling and upskilling as we move into a new "normal." Post-secondary institutions around the world are considering new practice models that will allow them to offer training in units of learning directly tied to workplace needs. This model focuses on customizable learning experiences that lead to accessible digital credentials, focusing on the collective value proposition for learners, post-secondary institutions and employers.
